It has no dust jacket, and all the advertisements, logos, price and barcode are just pasted on the back. - 2.0 out of 5 stars from shopgirl76 -- What exactly is the point of this? : I pre-ordered this and I love the size/format - but as others have mentioned, all it has inside is some illustration and completely arbitrary pieces from different books. I don't understand what on earth this is supposed to be for. It would've been absolutely PERFECT as a weekly planner with a week on two days, or some kind of guided journal even where they could've used quotes as prompts etc. I'm only giving this 2 stars instead of one because the size/format is really cute and of course I do love Jim Kay's illustrations - but this is a complete waste of money. I preordered it months ago as a gift based on the description thinking it was going to be a day planner or something along those lines. This book is very well illustrated and written, and I would recommend Harry Potter:A Magical Year to anyone who loves the Harry Potter books, as Jim Kay's Illustrations and story for each of the Month's from January thru December for one year at Hogwart's is a book I found very hard to put down after starting to read the first page.
